Terms of Use
Guardello · Last updated: November 2, 2026
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Guardello mobile application, including its Safari extension and Safe Browser (together, the "App"), provided by Ivan Procenko, an individual developer ("we", "us", "our"). Ivan Procenko is the seller of the App on the App Store. By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. What the App does
The App helps you browse more safely and manage storage on your iPhone. Its features include:
- blocking known scam and phishing sites, ads, trackers and cookie banners in Safari through a content blocker that you turn on in iOS Settings;
- checking links and QR codes against an on-device list of known scam domains and simple warning signs of fake sites;
- a private Safe Browser that does not save history or cookies;
- a personal block list of websites;
- a security check of selected iPhone settings (Safari protection status, iOS version, passcode and Face ID set up);
- finding similar and duplicate photos and screenshots so you can review and delete them.
The App works on your device. It does not require an account.
2. Important limitations
- The App is not antivirus software and does not scan your iPhone for malware.
- Blocking works only in Safari (when you enable the extension in iOS Settings) and in the App's Safe Browser. It does not work in other browsers or in browsers inside other apps.
- Block lists and scam domain lists are updated with new versions of the App and may not include every harmful site. A "No issues found" result means only that the link did not match our list or warning signs at the time of the check. It is not a guarantee that a link or website is safe.
- Some websites may display incorrectly when ads or trackers are blocked. You can turn individual protections off at any time.
You remain responsible for the links you open and the information you share online.
3. Photos and deletion
The App suggests photos you may want to delete, but you decide what to delete. Deletion is performed through iOS and requires your confirmation. Deleted items move to the Recently Deleted album in the Photos app, where iOS keeps them for up to 30 days. We are not responsible for items you choose to delete or permanently remove from Recently Deleted.
4. Subscriptions and purchases
- Some features require Guardello Premium. Premium is offered as an auto-renewable subscription (weekly, monthly or yearly) or as a one-time lifetime purchase. Prices are shown in the App before purchase and may vary by country.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account when you confirm the purchase.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the same price and for the same period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- If a free trial is offered, you will be charged when the trial ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. Any unused part of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings (Settings › [your name] › Subscriptions). Deleting the App does not cancel a subscription.
- All payments are processed by Apple. Refund requests are handled by Apple under its policies at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- You can restore previous purchases on a new device with the "Restore" button in the App.
5. License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on Apple devices that you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, resell or distribute the App, except as allowed by law.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the App for any unlawful purpose or in a way that could damage, disable or interfere with the App or with other people's use of it.
7. Third-party content
Some block lists in the App are based on publicly available filter lists (for example, EasyList and EasyPrivacy) used under their licenses. Attribution is available in the App under Settings › Licenses. Websites you visit through Safari or the Safe Browser are operated by third parties, and we are not responsible for their content.
8. Privacy
Link checks, block lists and photo analysis run on your device. We do not collect your browsing history. Please read our Privacy Policy to learn what limited data we handle.
9. Intellectual property
The App, its design, text, graphics and code are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. The "Guardello" name and logo may not be used without our permission.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
The App is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will block every harmful website, ad or tracker, or that it will be error-free or uninterrupted.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the App. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App is limited to the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including your statutory rights as a consumer.
12. Apple
- These Terms are between you and us, not with Apple Inc. ("Apple"). We, not Apple, are solely responsible for the App and its content.
- Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App.
- If the App fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the App.
- We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claims relating to the App, including product liability claims, claims that the App fails to conform to legal or regulatory requirements, consumer protection claims and intellectual property infringement claims.
- You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not listed on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
13. Changes to the App and these Terms
We may update the App and these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the App. Continuing to use the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
14. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it (remember to cancel any active subscription in your Apple ID settings). We may suspend or end your access to the App if you breach these Terms.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States of America, without regard to its conflict of law rules. If you are a consumer, you also keep any mandatory protections of the laws of the country where you live.
